What is a Shopping Service?
A shopping service assists you in buying items that you wish to purchase that might not be available in your country, or are otherwise difficult to purchase on your own.
Tenshi Shop is a shopping service for Japan. If you are looking for items in Japan, but don’t speak Japanese, don’t have a Japanese shipping address, don’t understand the buying process for a particular store, don’t have a way to send payment for items within Japan, or would rather just not deal with the general hassle of trying to shop in Japan from abroad, Tenshi Shop can help you.
Tenshi Shop shops on Japanese online shops, Japanese auctions, Japanese app sites (smart phone application based markets), and does some in store shopping.
How do I Request a Shopping Service?
You will need to submit a Shopping Service Request Form. Please visit the Shopping Services Tab and select the type of shopping you want to do. On each shopping type page you will find links to the Request Form and Detailed Terms and Conditions for that type of shopping.
Please note the special section about Reservations/Spot Claiming which apply to some in store releases only.
What is the Difference Between Tenshi Shop’s “Shopping Service” and Tenshi Shop’s “Online Shop”?
There are two main parts of Tenshi Shop, the Shopping Service and the Online Shop. Tenshi (the owner of Tenshi Shop) manages both and will assist you!
Shopping Service:
This service is for items that you find and want to buy from Japanese online shops, auction sites, app markets, or physical shops located in Japan. You may also see something on Tenshi Shop’s Facebook or Instagram, or something else Japan-related on social media and want to buy it. Tenshi can assist you in finding items, arranging payment, shipment to a Japanese address, reading Japanese listings, communication in Japanese with shops and sellers, and so on. You can think of Tenshi kind of like a personal shopper.
All arrangements are made one on one using Shopping Request Forms and email. Payment is arranged by invoices sent directly to you via Paypal (in most cases) from Tenshi Shop. There is no need to register a user name and password on tenshishop.com to request a shopping service.
Online Shop:
The items found for sale on Tenshi Shop’s Online Shop are a mix of new and previously owned items which Tenshi has for sale. This items are listed on the shop for anyone to buy at anytime. You need to use the cart checkout system to buy an item on the Online Shop. You can register an account with tenshishop.com or check out as a guest. Checking out with the cart system allows you to pay with Paypal or Amazon Payment.
If you have an open Shopping Service but are also interested in buying something from the Tenshi Shop Online Shop, please mention it to Tenshi. Tenshi can pull the item from stock manually and add it to your shopping service invoice and items to save you on shipping!
Where are Previously Owned Items on the Online Shop Sourced?
Most of the used items in the Tenshi Shop Online Shop were personally purchased new by Tenshi/her significant other, but now they are trying to find new homes for them. Some items might have been purchased at second hand stores or online auctions. There are also some new items, usually these were purchased for shopping services by mistake. Items are checked and item descriptions written as accurately as possible.

Are Items Covered by Shipping Insurance?
EMS, Registered Airmail, and Registered SAL all include insurance and provide tracking details.
EMS:
- EMS includes coverage up to 20,000 Yen.
- Please note that a package will only be insured up to the amount at which it is valued if under 20,000 yen.
- If you want coverage over this amount, make a note in your order details and I will look up the additional cost.
Registered Airmail and SAL:
- Registered Airmail and SAL include coverage up to 6,000 Yen
- Please note that a package will only be insured up to the amount at which it is valued if under 6,000 yen. Insurance over 6,000 yen is not available.
- Registered SAL can only be selected for Shopping Service items, not items in the Tenshi Shop Online Shop.
*If your item becomes lost an investigation can be started with Japan Post one month after the original shipping date. If it is found to be lost, the investigation and subsequent insurance refund can take 2+ months.
*If an item is broken or damaged in transit due to mishandling of your package, please save all the packing materials and the damaged item and bring them to your local post office to make a Damage Report. Send a photo of the damage to Tenshishop as well, to be included in the claim made to Japan Post. If you do not make a Damage Report to your local post office, Japan Post will not honor the claim for insurance coverage.
Can I Return an Item?
Tenshi Shop does not accept returns or offer refunds.

How Can I Track my Package?
All shipping methods offered at Tenshi Shop offer tracking.
- You will receive an email containing the tracking information for your package as soon as it’s shipped.
- You can use the included link in the email or visit the Japan Post Tracking Page directly.
- If you did not receive your tracking number, please send me an email so that I can resend the information.
How Long Does Shipping Take?
Items shipped via EMS (Express Airmail) typically arrive within 4-5 days and those sent via Registered Airmail in about 1 week. Items shipped via Registered SAL (only available for shopping service items, cannot be used for items in the Tenshi Shop Online Shop) take 2+ weeks.
Keep in mind that shipping from Japan can sometimes take time depending on your location and shipping method. There are cases where packages are held up in customs or are temporarily delayed during the international shipping process and simply arrive later than expected, so don’t panic if your item is only slightly behind schedule. If your tracked item becomes lost, an investigation can be opened one month after the original shipping date.
How Quickly are Items Shipped After Payment?
Items are generally shipped within one week of receiving your payment (not including weekends or Japanese national holidays).
- Parcel pick ups are used to ship items.
- Parcel pick ups are scheduled once or twice per week.
- If you have rush order, it is imperative that you tell me in the notes of your order so I can tell you if I can meet your request!
What Payment Methods are Available?
Tenshi Shop accepts payments via Paypal or Amazon Checkout for items in the Tenshi Shop Online Shop.
Shopping Services can be paid for with Paypal or Domestic Japanese Bank Transfer only.
What kinds of shipping are offered?

EMS:

- EMS is automatically insured up to 20,000 yen.

- Please note that a package will only be insured up to the amount at which it is valued if under 20,000 yen.
- Packages over 2kg must be sent via EMS.
- Can be use for Tenshi Shop Online Shop and Tenshi Shop Shopping Services.
Registered Airmail:
- Delivery takes about 1 week to most places.
- Tracking information is provided for most shipping locations.
- The maximum amount of insurance for registered airmail parcels is 6,000 yen. Insurance over this amount cannot be added.
- Please note that a package will only be insured up to the amount at which it is valued if under 6,000 yen.
- Registered Airmail is offered only for parcels weighing under 2kg.
- Large/bulky/oddly shaped items (high boots, parasols) cannot be sent via Registered Airmail.
- Can be use for Tenshi Shop Online Shop and Tenshi Shop Shopping Services.
Registered SAL:
- Delivery takes 2+ weeks to most locations.
- Tracking information is provided for most shipping locations.
- The maximum amount of insurance for registered airmail parcels is 6,000 yen . Insurance over this amount cannot be added.
- Please note that a package will only be insured up to the amount at which it is valued if under 6,000 yen.
- Registered SAL is offered only for parcels weighing under 2kg.
- Large/bulky/oddly shaped items (high boots, parasols) cannot be sent via Registered SAL.
- Registered SAL is not available for the following countries: Australia, Algeria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greenland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Ukraine. These countries must use Registered Airmail or EMS.
- Can be use for Tenshi Shop Shopping Services ONLY, and is not available when checking out with the cart system for items directly for sale in Tenshi Shop’s Online Shop.
